Hello, I'm Chef Irie.
Hello! I am proud to be born and raised in San Francisco. When I was about eight years old, I remember going to Na-Na's (my grandmother) house on Judah Street almost every weekend. She would make us some coffee, and we would bake pies all day for friends and family. The comfy aroma of cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg, vanilla, and sweet potato would fill her whole apartment building! Those weekends with Na-Na are what made me fall in love with baking and inspired me to go to culinary school to become a chef. Once there, I learned many things about cooking, perhaps most important of which was proper safe food practices. And maybe the most important thing nana has taught me is to not only bake with your heart, but to bake with my soul!
