Hello, I'm Chef Irie.

Hello! I am proud to be born and raised in San Francisco. When I was about eight years old​,​ I remember going to Na-Na's (my grandmother) house on Judah Street almost every weekend. She would make us some coffee​,​ and we would bake pies all day for friends and family. The comfy aroma of cinnamon​,​ brown sugar​,​ nutmeg​,​ vanilla​,​ and sweet potato would fill her whole apartment building! Those weekends with Na-Na are what made me fall in love with baking and inspired me to go to culinary school to become a chef. Once there​,​ I learned many things about cooking​,​ perhaps most important of which was proper safe food practices. And maybe the most important thing nana has taught me is to not only bake with your heart​,​ but to bake with my soul!
